Love Confession: 15 Motivational quotes from books that I love

Motivational quotes from books

The way you don’t forget the first sip of alcohol, first love and first time your heart is broken – you don’t forget books that made you laugh, cry and shaped you. It’s time to share motivational quotes from books that changed my outlook towards life.

Hello! I have a confession to make, I am having a love affair. My husband knows about this relationship. How can he not? This love affair may look like an obsession but I am ready to accept it with an open heart. I am in love with books. Words. Stories. I remember my father telling me a story of a monkey and an elephant (Panchtantra stories) before bedtime and that started my love affair. I have a habit of writing date and a thought on the very first page of the book, this is like a baptism for my books. I also used to write quotes in a notebook but now I simply preserve in Pinterest Board.  When I read a great book, I might not connect with a protagonist or storyline or scenes, but I always get connected with impactful lines and passages. Today I thought, I will share some of my favorite motivational quotes from books that changed my outlook towards life.

Great books are inspirational and motivational. These motivational quotes from books guide us to take decisions in life, work and love. If you wish to read the most beautiful sentences literature then read it here.

Motivational Quotes

1.  Stop Judging people, their choices, and actions.

If you spend too much time trying to find out what is good or bad about someone else, you’ll forget your own soul and end up exhausted and defeated by the energy you have wasted in judging others.—  Paulo Coelho, Aleph

2. Read books and re-kindle your imagination. You’ll never feel lonely in the company of books!

“In your books, I have flung myself into the bottomless pit, performed miracles, slain, burned towns, preached new religions, conquered whole kingdoms” ― Anton ChekhovThe Bet

3.  It’s not an end if things don’t go your way!

“Things usually work out in the end.”
“What if they don’t?”
“That just means you haven’t come to the end yet.”
― Jeannette WallsThe Glass Castle

4. If you wait for others to complete you, you’ll never have peace in your mind. Self-love is a prescription for healthy and fulfilling life.

“Love comes like lightning and disappears the same way. If you are lucky, it strikes you right. If not, you’ll spend your life yearning for a man you can’t have.” ― Chitra Banerjee DivakaruniThe Palace of Illusions

5. Love people with open-heart and without any expectation.

“I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..” ― Nicholas SparksThe Notebook

6. Address your emotions, don’t run away from it!

“When I get lonely these days, I think: So BE lonely, Liz. Learn your way around loneliness. Make a map of it. Sit with it, for once in your life. Welcome to the human experience. But never again use another person’s body or emotions as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings.” ― Elizabeth GilbertEat, Pray, Love

7.  The only secret to success: Hard work!

“Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep.” ― A.P.J. Abdul KalamWings of Fire: An Autobiography

8. Learn to Let Go! Everything comes with an expiry date.

It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over.” ― Paulo CoelhoThe Zahir

9. Instead of looking for happiness, live the moment, experience small things in life – that’s where real happiness exists.

“It was only a smile, nothing more. It didn’t make everything all right. It didn’t make ANYTHING all right. Only a smile. A tiny thing. A leaf in the woods, shaking in the wake of a startled bird’s flight. But I’ll take it. With open arms. Because when spring comes, it melts the snow one flake at a time, and maybe I just witnessed the first flake melting. – Amir”
― Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner

“Too many people go through life complaining about their problems. I’ve always believed that if you took one-tenth the energy you put into complaining and applied it to solving the problem, you’d be surprised by how well things can work out.” – Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture

13.Wisdom can’t be taught. Wisdom comes from experience, learning from mistakes, thinking before acting and accepting our true worth and values.

“And every day, the world will drag you by the hand, yelling, “This is important! And this is important! And this is important! You need to worry about this! And this! And this!” And each day, it’s up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart and say, “No. This is what’s important.” —IAIN THOMAS” ― Arianna HuffingtonThrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder

“Our life is a constant journey, from birth to death. The landscape changes, the people change, our needs change, but the train keeps moving. Life is the train, not the station.” – Paulo Coelho, Aleph
