7 Sitcoms you can watch over and over again!

Drama? Check! Cute friendships? Check! Crazy family? Double check! Misadventures? Also, Check.  Sitcoms that you can binge watch!

Hello, Monday! I become a really useless person in the universe on Friday and Saturday. So, I spend most of my time watching T.V and enjoying coffee shots. This weekend, hubby and I decided to watch “Comedian in cars getting coffee” by Jerry Seinfeld. If I have to describe this series, then it is romancing vintage cars, coffee, and conversation – I’d call it a perfect harmony. My husband and I are poles apart…if he’s north then I’m south but our love for sitcoms is the only thing that falls on common ground.

My love affair with sitcoms started when I was working in a high-pressure, stressful and particularly, number crunching environment of banking. Hubby and I used to come back from work and rejuvenate watching familiar sitcoms. Believe me, these sitcoms can never disappoint you. They have the power to refresh you instantly.
These days I turn it on, while meeting the deadline, checking emails or finishing crazy lists of daily chores. Here are 7 shows that my husband and I can watch on repeat mode.

1. Seinfeld

Even though Seinfeld is more than 25 years old, it has the same magic and appeal. I was introduced to Seinfeld by my husband who can watch it 1000 times without any complaint. Seinfeld is the best example of a Sitcom about nothing. The humor comes from the situation, a situation that we can relate to and some distinct characters. “The Chinese Restaurant” (Season 1) and ” The Betrayal” (Season 9) are my favorite episodes.

2. The Office

This show is really outstanding and if I have to rate this T.V series then I am going to give it 5-stars. I love everything about this series characters, camera, and comedy. It is so entertaining that one weekend, we ended up watching 10 episodes in a day. Steve Carell is fantastic as a boss. My favorite episode is This is the best mockumentary comedy since “Yes, Minister”!

Favorite Episode: “Frame Toby” (Season 5) Michael’s absolute horror at seeing Toby back at Dunder Mifflin was the absolute greatest. I can watch that scream on a repeat mode.

3. Modern Family

Modern Family is the most celebrated sitcoms of all time. Strong story telling, ensemble cast, and direction of this show make it unique. Three different stories in one episode aren’t easy especially when it is a sitcom. It can be a comedy of errors or a disaster. The moral of this series is quite simple if we have a strong relationship we can overcome any problem and situation.

4. How I Met Your Mother

Ted (Josh Radnor) Marshall (Jason Segel), Lily (Alyson Hannigan), Robin (Cobie Smulders), and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) grew up together, and some of the times they had were legendary. HIMYM is more like a dramedy (if that’s even a word) = drama + comedy. It has some epic episodes and one of my favorite character from the show is Barney. Even though I didn’t like the end of the show, I still love watching the episodes.
“I thought I’d never see that girl again. But it turns out, I was too close to the puzzle to see the picture that was forming.” –Ted Mosby, in the pilot episode of How I Met Your Mother

5. Two and a half men

Oh boy! This sitcom is my favorite. Two and a Half Men is a
Adult comedy series involving two brothers and a child. It has a perfect set of dialogues, situations, and sarcasm. Don’t get me wrong but I loved Charlie Sheen in this epic series. I have often seen people putting this show on their “Worst” sitcom list but I have enjoyed every single episode of this show. When Charlie Sheen left the show, I also lost interest.

6. Friends

I know! I know! Friends are on everyone’s “Favorite” sitcom list. If you are like Phoebe (wink) then I just want to tell you a little about this show. It is about a circle of friends living in Manhattan and their trial, triumphs and their journey. Friends is the most iconic show of our lifetime!

7. Everybody Loves Raymond

I love this show. It’s hilarious. Ray (Raymond, the protagonist), Debra (Wife), Marie ( critical and over-protective mother), Frank (dim-witted father), and Robert (Brother) are the main characters of the show. The acting, writing, and direction of the show are wonderful. It is like an old-school comedy that you won’t mind enjoying when you don’t want to use your brain.

No time for punctuation there, sorry.

I fucking love all things TV so this is my kind of post! I only actually watched the American office for the first time last year but now if I’m getting ready or just have some spare time on my hands that I don’t know what to do with it then I’ll tend to watch an episode again!

    1. I am also in love with “idiot box” and these sitcoms just make it more awesome. Thanks 😉

  32. This is a great list of amazing sitcoms! F.R.I.E.N.D.S is my ultimate favorite and when I don’t feel like applying my brain as what to watch on Netflix, F.R.I.E.N.D.S is always a great idea. I also love watching How I met your mother and Modern Family!

    1. Hahhaha…so true! FRIENDS is the best sitcom to watch when you want to relax. 🙂

  33. I bonded with my husband over the series of ” How I met your mother”! We watched all seasons religiously and we have associated it with the beginning stages of our relationship! We loved it!

    1. Wow! That’s so cute. I can relate to your story…even my husband and I bonded over Seinfeld. It was his favorite sitcom and he made me watch with him the entire series. 🙂

    1. So true…you can never get bored with these sitcoms. Thanks 🙂

  35. I have watched friends more times than I can count and I loved how I met your mother. I could never get into Seinfeld the characters just irritate me, but I remember watching everybody loves Raymond as a kid and thinking it made no sense, my dad would always tell me wait until you get married, then it’s funny… I’m not married but I’ve been in a relationship now for long enough that it is hilarious!

    1. Hahahah…wait till you get married! You might even start enjoying Seinfeld…that’s what marriage does! 😉

  36. Friends is my absolute favorite. I already watched that on repeat for almost 10 ten times.

    1. Wow! That’s awesome. Thanks 🙂

    1. The Office is my all-time favorite. 🙂

  39. My top 3 are
    no 3 – Seinfeld
no 2- Two and a half man
and no 1 Friends and How I met your mother ♥

I can`t get into Everybody Loves Raymond for some reason

    1. I know so many people who don’t like Everybody loves Raymond and I can completely relate to what you are saying 🙂

  40. Loved this list, I’ve watched friend more than 3 times, and still laugh each time I watch it 🙂

    1. “Friends” is my favorite sitcom to watch with my school friends 🙂

  41. I 100% agree with this list, but especially with Seinfeld. There’s a reason that show can air around dinner on nearly any station and people are happy to watch that show over and over again! Of course, that rest of the list happens to be pretty user-friendly as well!

    1. Seinfeld can never get old…the situations, jokes and comedy about nothing is still so relevant.

  42. Not the biggest sitcom guy. But who can say no to Seinfeld and Barney Stinson. Up five:)

    1. Thanks! 🙂
