Oh! I forgot to introduce you to my gorgeous cousin who doesn’t like the idea of “MAKEUP”. She loves her Victoria Secret’s lip gloss and Maybelline Colossal Kajal. That’s it! On the contrary, I love make up and I can call myself, comfortably, a makeup hoarder.

She gives me a dewy-eyed look. “Di (Sis), please don’t start with this again. If you want me to try it out then write a review. I will surely consider.”

I have never seen her giving me an opportunity to continue with my make up conversation. “I guess this is the best thing I can do. I will write a review. Then I will ask you to buy it.”

Here is my review of the product that I recently bought and I have gone mad ever since. 5 reasons to buy KAT VON D EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK

1. Who is Kat Von D?

Mr. Wiki says Kat Von D, is an American tattoo artist, model, musician, entrepreneur, and television personality. I remember watching Kat Von D as tattoo artist on LA Ink, TLC and I absolutely loved her. When you look at her, you can connect immediately with her bold, creative, unapologetic and outspoken avatar. Her makeup line has the same attributes.

2. What it is?

KAT VON D EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK is a long wear, matte liquid lipstick with full coverage. It is highly pigmented lip color that glides like a gloss but dries to a true matte finish. I purchased it in the color EXORCISM which is like a deep brick red color or close to a ripened blackberry. It is infused with vitamin E and sunflower seed;you can wear it comfortably without making your lips dry.

3. How does it feel?

I like the packaging of the product. It has rose pattern and it looks like a tattoo. I found the application of this product a little tricky as I am not use to wearing  darker lipcolor. It glides like a gloss on lips and then within seconds its matte. After you apply it you don’t feel like wearing anything on your lips. It is as simple!

Hey wait, I have two tricks for you to get most out of this product:
(a) Moisturize or hydrate your lips before applying this product. If you have dry lips then please apply lip balm or Vaseline underneath.

(b)Use a lip liner. Then it will be very easy for you to apply the product.

4. How long does it stay?

It stays FOREVER! It survived a bottle of water, creamy pasta and wine. I felt no need to reapply as it is highly pigmented. I applied it at 6 pm in the evening and took it off at 3 am. If you notice the last picture of mine you will notice it starts to fade but it stayed there for 9 long hours.

5. What I didn’t like?

To be very honest I loved KAT VON D EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK . I think the only thing that annoyed me was the difficult application of the product. But I can’t complain as I bought a dark shade and it is always difficult to apply dark color.

Overall I will give this product 4.5/5
