“I came, I saw, I conquered” – Julius Caesar. Isn’t it more relevant now with the Korean skincare conquering beauty industry? Skinfood adventure!
Hi Loves, here’s a common question that always pops in my mind: Is it too late to start a skin care routine? Is it too early to focus on anti-aging? The short answer is no. In fact, the anti-aging regimen should start from the mid-20s. Yes, I missed the boat but it is never too late to start a skin care regimen. I am going to focus on specific issues and turn things around. When I first heard of Korean skincare, I was a bit overwhelmed as it involved a million steps. Koreans have one of the best skin in the world. Poreless, dewy and bright. I indulged in buying some Korean products and have decided to slowly move towards Korean skincare regimen. This week I was tempted to start with a good exfoliator and sheet face mask. My very first Korean brand is Skinfood which focuses only on food. “You are what you eat”- Skinfood. Mini-facial at home is the best way to relax and rejuvenate. Bonus: Chubby’s excited face and some cool selfies!
Skin Food Black sugar Wash Off Mask
Exfoliating is my favorite part of skincare routine. I have blackheads on my nose and I detest it. I love to exfoliate my face once or twice a week to make it poreless, smooth and clear without making it too harsh for the skin. This exfoliating scrub is the most recommended Korean exfoliator and it is divine. Apply the mask on your face for 10-15 minutes and then massage it gently on your face. Put some water in your hand if you think it is too harsh. After rinsing it off, my skin was glowing and was as soft as baby’s butt. Now I use it more on the T-zone and on my nose. Holy Grail!
“Enriched with minerals and vitamins, this face scrub effectively exfoliates dead skin that prevents makeup application, while revitalizing skin. “- Skinfood
Skin Food Everyday Lentil Facial Mask Sheet
I am not living under the rock, I know how hyped sheet face masks are. Now, I know the hype is real! Sheet face masks are a luxurious part of 10 step Korean skincare routine. Sheet masks are single use masks soaked in essence and serum to deeply hydrate and brighten the skin. These microfiber or hydrogel masks make sure that the essence is completely soaked into the skin by preventing it from evaporating into the air.
I love lentil soup! Lentils are dubbed as the superfood and I was excited to use it when I first saw the mask. The microfiber sheet spreads evenly on my skin and I instantly felt the cold sensation on my skin. I took off the mask after 15 minutes and noticed the luminous glow. My skin was left moisturized and it felt as if the fine lines on my forehead vanished. It made my skin look so much better and the best thing is that it is super affordable too.
Annnnnd yes, sheet mask boomerang is a must!
My experiment with K-beauty was successful. I can comfortably say that I am going to inculcate K-Beauty 10- step beauty regimen in my skincare regimen. I loved the way I was glowing whole day and even though the effect of the mask lasted for 3 days, I am pretty impressed. Don’t blame my highlighter for the glow!
Have you tried any Skinfood product? What do you think about the extensive Korean beauty regimen? Let me know in the comment.
