So, the other day, I was happily chatting with my cousin about who-knows-what, when out of the blue, we found ourselves talking about lip colors. Now, let me tell you, I’m a makeup enthusiast, especially when it comes to lipsticks. So, naturally, I went all in and recommended the Maybelline New York Super Stay Vinyl Ink Long Wear Liquid Lipstick. But here’s the hilarious twist, guys: I hadn’t even smacked my own lips with this fabulous stuff! Yep, it was the first time I’d ever suggested something I hadn’t personally tested. In a fit of impulsive brilliance, I whipped out my phone, and boom! Ordered one for myself. Let’s just call it a makeup “YOLO” moment, shall we? 😂💄

What did I like about Maybelline New York Super Stay Vinyl Ink Long Wear Liquid Lipstick?
Glazed, glossy, and drenched lips are back – And I am all for it! I wanted to try a nude color but it overwhelms me as finding a perfect nude for my skin tone is a bit tricky. I don’t want the color to be too warm or too cool-toned-ashy. I was looking for a perfect shade so I ended up choosing “Peppy”. As I told you before I purchased it online looking at the packaging of the lipstick – I was expecting brownish-warm toned lipstick. But to my surprise, Peppy turned out to be a pinkish mauve shade that gives a pretty nude look.
Let’s list down things that I absolutely love about this lipstick.
1. Formula: I love the saturated vinyl formula that gives the glossy shine on the lips. It doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the lips and that’s why it has become my everyday lipstick.
2. Long-staying power and pigmented: It survived greasy food, wine, and a karaoke session – it stayed put for the entire night. It claims 16 hours of lasting power and I can 100% vouch for this claim. I had to use cleansing balm to remove it.
3. Smudge and transfer proof: Once it sets on your lips, it’s smudge and transfer proof. It doesn’t budge so don’t worry, you’re not going to leave any lip marks on the glass or cup.
4. Affordable: It is an extremely affordable lipstick and it’s available everywhere – online or in stores.
5. Packaging: I love the box-like packaging of the lipstick. It’s easy to shake and activate the formula.
What I did not like about Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Long Wear Liquid Lipstick?
Honestly, when I tried it for the first time, I instantly hated it. It felt as if there was no pigment in lipstick. I watched some videos on TikTok and then I realized that there’s a perfect way to use it. After that, I fell in love with this lipstick and there’s nothing to complain about except the color on the packaging can be a bit deceiving. Therefore, I would recommend swatching the shade before making the purchase.
My Final Thought
My experience with Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Long Wear Liquid Lipstick was generally positive, and I love the color. However, it’s important to note that individual preferences vary, and what works for one person may not suit another. While I liked the formula and color payoff, it’s crucial to consider personal the application can be a bit tricky at times. You have to shake it really well before using it to get the formula. There are undoubtedly other excellent lipstick options available on the market that might better align with different tastes and requirements.
