Want to look fresh and gorgeous for the school? Do you know your hallmark look? What are your Back-to-school makeup essentials?

In this era of Kim K, Jenner’s and Instagram feed, there is one look that every girl needs to understand it like a PRO: natural, easy, “no-makeup” makeup look. I’d consider it the look that you can wear to your school. A little concealer, sheer foundation, a powder to set, nude or pink lips- each and every day. Even if you are not total beauty addict, this article is for you.I thought it was about time to share some of the best Back-to-school hair and beauty products that every girl should take for a spin…

Mascara

A classic black mascara can make you look more awake and fresh. I am naturally blessed with long and thick eyelashes so a good mascara just adds some depth to it and Benefit They’re Real!! Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara delivers just this.

Eyeliner

Black eyeliner is a staple in my makeup bag. I can’t go out without an eyeliner or kohl in my bag, it’s the most important thing in my hallmark look. It’s just so trendy- and also, Indian. I like Kat Von D Tattoo liner or Maybelline which has got the blackest black color.

Eye Brow Pencil

Who need dragon brows? Just essential filling in of brows and perfecting the shape. Get two shade lighter color, if you have dark brows. Get two shades darker, if you have light brows. I still couldn’t find anything better than Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil.

Foundation

I consider this one the most important – if not the most important – of all the makeup essentials. It is also the trickiest. Always look for a formula that is lightweight and easy to blend. I prefer L’oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte foundation it has a creamy and lightweight formula that blends like a dream. And affordable!

Lip color

Dry lips are rude. Always keep a tinted lip balm or nude/pink lip color to get a little color on your face.

Here are some DOs and DON’Ts:

Do:

  1. Keep your makeup simple and subtle.
  2. Light to medium coverage foundation will cover-up blemishes and dark circles. Find the perfect foundation.
  3. Wear nude and pink lips to get that natural look. A good lip gloss in your makeup bag is a must.
  4. Skin care is a key to get that healthy glow. Embrace your youthful glow.
  5. Get a good mascara and eyeliner to define your eyes.

Don’t

  1. Wear loud colors. For a school, extremely bold colors can be a bit distracting and a little over the top.

    1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Browiz is the best…I learned using it looking at Jaclyn Hill 😉

  1. I love how you use GIFS in your posts! Your blog is so fun and creative. I always love hearing about new makeup products!

  2. Eye liner is definitely my must-have bit of makeup. Except I ca’t wear black, it’s too much for me. I use a blue to match my eyes.

  3. I absolutely love the L’Oreal Infallible foundation. I started using it a few months ago and it’s now my go to foundation! Foundation is my ultimate must have product!

  4. I agree with your tips to keep it more natural and simple at school. I also agree that an eyebrow pencil is now a staple since full brows are so popular.

  5. Mayuri,

I agree 100% about dry lips! A big makeup no no!
I always wear light weight foundation because heavy makeup looks overdone.

    Good luck with you giveaway!
    Hugs,
    Robin

  6. Thanks for all the beauty tips and advice on products! I love a natural, yet put-together look. The Anastasia Brow wiz is AMAZING! Will definitely try out a few of your other recommendations.

  7. Great suggestions – I really like keeping my make up simple and it really is perfect for school! Too loud and it is way too distracting!

  8. I believe in the less is more. Some girls layer on makeup and are unaware of their natural beauty and it’s such a shame. My daughter has all of these and is ready to take on abother year of school.

  9. I’m a little ashamed to say that it too me far too long to appreciate eye brow products, and I personally consider them the most important since they frame you eyes. I like the look of more natural eye brows, and I’ve had the most success with powder fillers, but then my eyebrows are pretty full already with just needing a few areas filled in.

  10. You can never go wrong with your favorite mascara and a good lip color! Even if I don’t feel like wearing makeup, I always have those two items in my purse.

  11. This is a great list! I want to try the They’re Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara. Thanks for the giveaway. I’m going to Instagram now.

  12. We think alike simple make up is the better do not want to over do it. Specially when going to school or to work. Very nice suggestions and tips, thanks!

  13. Back in school days, am happy to use pressed powder in nude/tan shade and a lipgloss or liptint. I felt so pretty back then. When I enter college, that’s the time I learned about eyeshadow 🙂

  14. Keep it simple, keep it light, it’s my advice! Also, I totally prefer brown mascara to black since the black one is too harsh for me. Have you tried other mascara colors? I like purple too!

  15. I’ve heard of the Kat Von dese, products and they always seem to have great reviews! I wish there was a way to source them here in the uk.
I’m a little late to the make up game so quiet possibly there is!
As for foundation; I’ve always preferred Lancôme to anything. However I am always willing to try new products.
Great tips! I wish I could’ve had access to these back in school.

  16. I hear what you are saying about colors and particularly bold colors. I guess I really just think you need to do what works best for you in the long run.

  17. This is a really great back to school beauty list. I agree makeup should not be so loud in school.

  18. You got the makeup essentials right! Can’t think of anything else to add to this list. I agree to keep makeup simple for school. Anything loud isn’t necessary since it is just school after all.

  19. It took me a while to realise you meant college, at my school you’d be sent to scrub off any sign of make up…didn’t stop us trying though.

  20. These are basic essentials for anyone.I always like such basic stuff and simple make up.Thanks for highlighting all these essentials for back to school makeup kit.Good for moms like me too…

  21. It likes a beauty school. If anyone read this, I don’t think anyone would ever need course. All you have to do just give them a certificate of completion.

  22. You’re not allowed to wear make up at school over here but we did used to sneak it on! Just clear mascara and lip gloss!

  23. I havent been to school for ages but I do love the no make up-make up look. My no make up look is so light that nobody thought that I wear make up!? All natural look.

  24. Well, this is what I use every day for work! I still haven’t found the perfect foundation though, I’m still testing products. I think everyone’s skin is different, so we should try a few products first to find the perfect one (except if you’re lucky and get the perfect one on your first try! :D) Anyway, well-shaped brows is a must too!

  25. As long as I have mascara and base I am happy! Great tips, even though I am not in school and I used only black eyeliner (like a lot) at the time! Good times!

  26. It’s funny how teens in these days won’t get out of the door without makeup on. When I was in school I never wore makeup. It wasn’t even allowed and you could have gotten expelled even if you wore a little bit of mascara.

  27. This is a great list of makeup kit essentials for back to school. To me the most important things are eyeliner and lip gloss along with a little eye shadow. Thanks for sharing this back to school kit.

  28. These are some great essentials, not just for school goers. I think anyone can benefit from this list. Thanks for sharing it! 🙂

  30. These are useful make-up kit items in teacher’s purse. As schools are re-opening, this is a timely post reminding to pack our purse with new make-up things.
