Beach Resort Vacation : Packing guide for a long weekend

Beach Resort vacation

The beach resort vacation is calling and I must go…

This year is unusual. You can’t travel internationally without a valid reason…so traveling to an exotic place is out of question. In that case, if you really want to take  a break from all the stress then staycation or a beach resort vacation is your safest bet. But before you start packing your clothes, you need to know about the COVID rules and restrictions in your country. Stay safe. Enjoy the sea.

I do not like obstacles in the way of vacation planning. Especially after staying home for more than 6 months and dealing with all the stress of 2020. So, my vacation plans may look different this year but I am ready for a vacation. Staycation or a beach resort vacation is on my mind. Luckily, we have some beautiful beach resorts in the U.A.E. that can help me relax, relive and rewind.
Oh, wait! But before that, I have to share my light packing list for a resort vacation/ staycation. There is plenty of beautiful resort wear and staycation inspired outfits to choose from, no matter what you’re style is.

Beach resort vacation
Are you ready for the next beach vacation?

Like everyone, even I have concerns about the safety and security in the times. Reasonable precautions are all the that’s required. A couple of days in your city is just as precious as going to an exotic place.

P.S: Get some Monday motivation

We are in this together. Be responsible and be safe.

Lots of love,

xoxo

  1. This is a great resource. A lot of people tend to over pack, so having something like this to reference is a great way; to pack just the right amount of everything.

  2. When my fiance and I go on vacation, especially more than a week long trip, I don’t have problem with packing but she seems to be struggling a little bit. I prefer light packing and she wants to bring a lot with her. But no matter how stressful it was, we always had a great time. thanks for sharing these tips for what to pack. I will share with my fiance

  3. Bookmarked this post for reference. It is such a complete packing guide! Even if we can’t get to travel right now due to the lock down restrictions, I will be checking back on this post when we are finally able to travel and enjoy a beach vacation.

  4. I always love to plan outfits for travel! I tend to overpack and think of every wild possibility 😂 but it’s still fun, so oh well. I love your suggestions and your tips to travel locally during this time. I live near the Puget Sound so I can also plan a little weekend getaway at the beach.

  5. It is great to be prepared for your next vacations, having a packing guide is a must! I normally always forget something so I need to use one of this everytime to not forget anything

  6. I honestly cannot wait for restrictions to lift. We’re still in fairly strict lockdown in Australia and as I don’t have Aussie citizenship yet, it means very limited travel options once we are allowed to travel again. I would definitely love a beach resort holiday right about now

  7. I’m going to have to live vicariously through you because where I live (Victoria, Australia) is in much harsher restrictions right now! Everything is closed except medical offices, post offices, banks, and food places. You can’t go out unless you’re going to one of these places OR you’re going out for exercise, which has a time limit. Only one person per household can go food shopping (and I can’t drive, so that’s not me!), and you’ve got to be back at home by 8pm unless you’re working 😅 We’ve had a LOT of deaths here unfortunately, so it is necessary, and these rules are helping a lot, so they’re going to ease up soon, but I doubt any kind of holidays will be happening here soon! However, as soon they can, I’ll be going on one, so I am saving this post for later 🙌

    1. These restrictions are for good only. We have been through this kind of lockdown and now slowly things are opening up. But if the cases keep on increasing then we might see another lockdown. I am praying this doesn’t happen. I am sure things will be better by the end of this year. I am sure this guide will help you once everything open up in Australia. Thanks 😊

  8. This is perfect! It’s nice to maximize your options even when packing light. So this range of brights and neutrals are great to easily mix and match.

  9. I loveeeee packing outfits for beach vacations! This is a great list for light packing. My go to beach essentials are flip flops, dress and sunglasses. I am all set then!

Staycations I think might be the next big thing given the pandemic now. Hope you get to enjoy some travelling this year❤️

  10. Although I’ve never been to a beach resort myself before, I would love to go there and experience that one day. Fingers crossed we can get back to travelling safely soon!

  11. Good post and tips, very useful. Things have so much changed now and travellers love visiting beach resorts. Your article will be a good reference for them.

    1. I completely agree with you everything has changed due to COVID. Short vacation or staycation is the only way to take a break!

  12. Great packing list … for a short vacation. I live in Mumbai and many people have started going on weekend trips to nearby resorts. This will be useful when I plan my next weekend trip.

    1. Oh, you’re lucky to be in Mumbai as there are so many weekend getaways to help you relax and rewind. Thanks 😊

  13. I tend to be a light packer, so this list is perfect for me! I have been able to take a couple of short vacations this summer, but nothing like the normal. I can’t wait for more normal vacations again.

  14. I am a light packer so this list truly aligned with me. Thank you so much for sharing it! It made me feel like someone out there is actually packing the way I pack. Lol!

  15. This year really has turned our travel plans upside down, hasn’t it? We did a lot of camping this summer, but one of the campgrounds that we stayed at was specifically chosen for their huge dog-friendly beach. While we were there, we spent most of the time on the beach enjoying the sunshine and cool waters, and the items that you listed here would have been perfect for that!

  16. That’s a nice conglomeration of ideas for packing. With the new normal things are different now and we need to take care of the safety and security items.
