Hey My Loves! This Monday, we celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. Last night, Mohit and I reminisced by looking through photos and sharing a cheesecake. We celebrated our special day in Amal, The Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa. As much as I enjoy wearing no makeup, nude lipstick with no foundation, contour and highlight…I love my glam avatar too. You got it, right! I hope you guys enjoy this makeup. I picked up a dress from Mango (Yeah, again black dress) and wore my favorite Steve Madden sparkling shoes. But one product that made this look complete is the Morphe Brushes- 35F palette that has beautiful metallic colors and looks absolutely stunning.

“One advantage of marriage is that, when you fall out of love with him or he falls out of love with you, it keeps you together until you fall back in love again.”— Judith Viorst
Hello Lovelies, November is a very special month for me. I am going to celebrate my seven-year anniversary this month. It is a bigger milestone than some people might realise as hubby dear and I took seven vows and seven circles around fire, seven years ago. It is our Copper anniversary. So, I had a big reason to indulge in some good makeup (Blink!). I was contemplating to buy Huda Beauty Rose Gold eyeshadow palette or Anastasia Beverly Hills Master palette by Mario but I ended up buying Morphe Brushes 35F – Fall into frost palette.
I haven’t made my affections for makeup artist and YouTube star, Jaclyn Hill, a secret. This girl knows beauty and when she did a tutorial on Morphe Brushes 35O palette, I was keen to buy it. But it is one palette that is always “Out of stock”. I have never tried any product of Morphe brushes so I thought to try Morphe Brushes 35F- Fall into frost palette which was launched early this year.
Here are my thoughts on Morphe Brushes 35F palette:
What it is?
Morphe Brushes 35F – Fall into frost is an eyeshadow palette with 28 shimmery metallic shades and 7 matte shades. Morphe Brushes on its website says:
“Featuring 7 all-new highly pigmented matte shades and 28 rich metallic colors, this is the palette you will reach for to wake up your looks with a touch of eye-catching shimmer. The 7 matte colors offer necessary neutrals from flesh toned to black and ensure an effortless, well-blended look every time.”- https://www.morphebrushes.com/products/35f
How does it feel?
Just take a minute and admire all the shades this palette offers. It has a beautiful selection of colors to complement “Fall” or “Winter” fashion. First row has a mix of highlight shades that can not only be used on eyes but also on high points of your face. There are insanely pigmented colors in this palette like Cranberry, raspberry, copper, gold, rose gold, champagne, etc. All the shimmers are extremely pigmented and buttery.
Last row is dedicated to 7 matte shades which are more like a transition and base shades. I absolutely loved the feel of these eyeshadows as they are smooth, easy to build and blend.
What I like?
I was contemplating to buy Huda Beauty Rose Gold Eyeshadow palette and Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario for a season of celebration. Instead I bought this as it is a perfect dupe to these high-end palettes at a very reasonable price. Quality of this palette is as good as high-end eyeshadows (if not more). I experienced little fall-out during application and I can completely understand that as these are highly pigmented eyeshadows. But this is something I experienced with my Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 too.
These eyeshadows are highly pigmented and stays put for a long time. But if you want to get a better result, then wear it with a good primer. I took one eyeshadow from each row and swatch it on my hand. Intense!
What I didn’t like?
There is nothing to dislike about Morphe Brushes 35F palette except couple of things that can be overlooked.
35F palette came in a cardboard packaging and was protected by a bubble-wrap. This palette comes in a very simple plastic packaging with the logo in the front and 35F sticker on the back. It is extremely thin and comes without a mirror. But the only reason I ignored it because of the price I paid.
Why? But Why Morphe brushes eyeshadows do not have any name? This becomes annoying to point out which eyeshadow I am talking about. Common we all need names! Here are 7 eyeshadows that I liked from the palette and I don’t know what to call them!
What is the price and where can I find it?
This is a game changer. I paid AED 119 for 35 highly pigmented and good quality eyeshadows. Isn’t it a great buy!

I have a very beautiful relationship with makeup and its application. Perhaps I am a self-professed, self-admired and self-taught makeup artist. From one shade of foundation to more than 25 shades of foundation for every skin tone is a long journey. Contouring, strobing and baking are not a beauty jargon any more. Makeup is still considered as a mask but these beauty vloggers proved that makeup is an art, passion and expression. But I have a love-hate relationship with YouTube beauty channels. I love watching YouTube videos as I have learned a lot of my makeup skills and discovered some great products. And I hate it as sometimes it makes you feel as though you can do heart surgery looking at YouTube videos!
Here are 7 beauty gurus on YouTube you should follow to get a dose of beauty with a charm.
Jaclyn Hill
I found Jaclyn Hill’s video by mistake but her connect with the audience won me over. She is one of the most influential YouTube vlogger with over 3 million YouTube subscribers and 2.6 million Instagram followers. Her collaboration with Becca was unapologetically popular – “Champagne Pop” highlighter had a record breaking sales on the day it was launched.
Kandee Johnson
I love Kandee Johnson! She is a great makeup artist and a YouTube star. She can make her look like anyone. And her latest Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton transformation is by far the best thing I have ever watched. Satisfaction to the core!
Wayne Goss
If you get lost in the dark makeup alleys, then follow this YouTube star. Wayne Goss is fresh like a breeze in the world of affiliates, collaboration and endorsement. He is unabashedly honest in his reviews and has some of the best makeup tutorials. Love him or Hate him but he is a YouTube star you can’t avoid.
Huda Kattan
Huda Kattan is a beauty giant and Middle East’s most revered makeup artist. She is a vlogger, makeup artist, and boasts of being one of the top beauty influencer on Instagram with 15.4 million followers. She has her own powerhouse of makeup line, Huda Beauty, with fluttery false lash strips and Lip contour pencils being the flagship of the brand.
Lisa Eldridge
Lisa Eldridge is a legend and watching her YouTube tutorials is like attending a Makeup masterclass. She has a beautiful British accent and I find it so attractive. “I approach make-up with the philosophy ‘wear what you like, when you like.’ There are no rules – if you want to wear red lipstick every day because it makes you feel good, do it!” – Lisa
Nikkie Tutorials
Anyone who follows Nikkie Tutorials knows that she is the one who made Nivea Post Shave balm famous as a primer. She is hugely popular, since 2008, now having a cool collaboration with Too Faced. She effortlessly brings out her adorable personality and makeup skills on videos.
Farah Dhukai

Hello Everyone! I wanted to (finally) share the makeup and saree,I wore on Karwachauth. I am always messed up wondering how to get ready and follow all the rituals of this festival. For those who are not familiar with this Indian festival, Karwachauth is a festival in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the love of their husband. Think of it as Indian celebration of love and marriage. This is the only time of the year; I live without water and food. Yes, you read it right – without water and food. This is also the only day of the year when I wear traditional Indian saree and consider myself a makeup expert. I took only 10 minutes to create this easy peasy look.
This festival is super traditional so I wanted to wear heavy Banarsi saree (Mom, I love you so much for the gift) with a beautiful gold blouse. I also loved the real pearl necklace that was gifted by my Aunt (Bua) who pampers me with beautiful accessories and makeup suggestions.
My makeup was mostly traditional a very subtle rose gold eye look with pop of highlight to get that glowing look. I love this dark “vampy-ish” lip trend that has stormed the world. I completed the look with a red “bindi” and dark lip color.
Details of the product I used are mentioned below and I hope you all like this look! Let me know what you think about the look.

Good news! It’s an end to the long scorching summer months in Dubai. Let’s just put it this way, we can have more fun with make up as the temperature begins to drop. Officially, fall marks the beginning of festive season and romance. This year fall fashion is all about orange hair, foiled eyeshadows and dark berry lips—it makes you want to try something different this season. This seasons matte trend is obviously not an easy one. Liquid matte lipstick is no doubt very popular these days but it is not easy to apply at first. Thankfully, I found the perfect Liquid matte lipstick, I am obsessing over last few weeks. Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick is just Ahhhhhhhhhmazzzzing!
Who is Huda Kattan?
Huda Kattan is a beauty giant and Middle East’s most revered makeup artist. She is a vlogger, makeup artist, and boasts of being one of the top beauty influencer on Instagram with 15.4 million followers. She has her own powerhouse of makeup line, Huda Beauty, with fluttery false lash strips and Lip contour pencils being the flagship of the brand.
What is Huda Beauty Liquid Lip Matte?
Huda beauty liquid matte lipstick is a long wear, non-transferable and intense color pay off liquid matte lipstick. Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick comes in feminine colors with red, brown and pink hues. Color range is more towards wearable colors with names like “Trophy Wife”, “Cheerleader”, “Heartbreaker”, “Venus” and a chocolate shade “Flirt”. The product clains:
“LONG-LASTING &COMFORTABLE MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK
INTENSE PIGMENTATION I HELPS TO MAINTAIN LIPS HYDRATION I NO TRANSFER”
How does it feel?
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte lipstick comes in a white box with open lips, biting the lipstick between the lips. I love the way Huda stresses on the packaging. Isn’t it cool!
Unlike other liquid matte lipsticks, this lipstick doesn’t have a thick formula. The lightweight formula glides easily on the lips and it is infused with antioxidants to hydrate lips. The thin coat of the liquid turns matte within seconds and gives an intense color which is not only transfer proof but stays put till eternity. The best thing is that this product is CRUELTY FREE and PARABEN free.
Why I am obsessed with this Lipstick?
This lipstick is ahhmazzzing! I wore Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade “Cheerleader” for 15 hours and I didn’t feel a need to re-apply it. I ate Indian curries, drank wine and even slept with this lipstick (I know it is a crime L) but this lipstick didn’t even move from its place. Impressive!
The feel of this product on my lips is another reason to die for. I have dry lips and this lipstick is so hydrating that you don’t feel anything on the lips. Applying liquid matte lipsticks is not an easy thing to do but this lipstick is extremely easy to apply. This is due to the liquid formula that glides really well and gives an option to rectify any errors you make.
It has very sweet tropical fragrance that I absolutely love!
What I didn’t like about the product?
To be very honest I think of no reason to dislike this product. It is a must have in your makeup bag if you love liquid matte lipsticks.
Do you have any Huda Beauty Liquid Matte lipstick? What are your views about the product? What is your favorite shade in the collection?
Hello my loves, I am a big advocate of DIY face masks as they are superrrr easy and chemical free. Even though spa facials give a boost to your skincare but DIY masks nourishes your skin. Off late, I realised that I should focus more on anti-aging as experts believe that there is slower collagen production, once you hit your 30s. Who wants to look like an old hag! Like it or not if you are in your late 20s, start with a skincare routine before you see fine lines like river streams on your face. But this is not to make you smear high-end creams on your face. Girl, trust me you don’t need wrinkle fighters or collagen boosters, if you just focus on ingredients that can make you look younger, glow-y and healthy. Here is a 3 ingredients crazy miracle Chocolate face mask to get back that glow:
Chocolate Face Mask:
Ingredients:
Dark Chocolate (85% Cocoa)
Oats
Cream or Yogurt
Instructions:
Grind dark chocolate and then add oats to it. Mix 1 teaspoon cream (if you are dry) or 1 teaspoon yogurt (if you are oily) to the dry mixture. Apply the mask on a clean dry face and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with a warm water. Massage your face with your favourite facial oil.
Oats has 18 different amino acids that are essentials for healthy skin. It is not only a good exfoliator but also a good moisturiser. It is a natural cleanser and treats acne.
Cream or Yogurt: Lactic acid in yogurt will tighten pores and also removes dead skin. Cream moisturise and give that glow-y finish to the skin.
Result: My skin feels soft , nourished and hydrated. It smells divine!
Note: Like any other skin care regime, it is necessary to do a patch test on the skin to make sure that there is no allergic reaction with any ingredient. Everyone’s skin is different so result can vary.
Are you planning to give this Chocolate face mask a try? What are your favourite DIY face mask?
My inner goddess is jumping up and down to introduce you to amazing essential oils I have been using to relax my senses and get a beauty glow. I invite you to indulge in this aromatic journey and let it heal your senses in the most intense ways. For centuries, these essential oils have been used to heal, relax and get a flawless skin. The more you use them, the more mystic it gets.
What are Essential Oils?
“Essential oils are extracted directly from the bark, flower, fruit, leaf, seed or root of a plant or tree and just one drop can have powerful health benefits. Essential oils are highly concentrated oils that have a strong aroma. By concentrating the oils of these plants you are literally separating the most powerful healing compounds of a plant into a single oil” – Dr.Axe
Essential oils are highly concentrated and should always be mixed with Carrier oils.
Here are 10 amazing essential oils DIYs for beauty and wellness:
Ultimate bathing experience
Make your very own Coconut oil bath melts. Melt 8 ounces of Coconut oil and mix 15 drops of your favourite essential oil (I love Tea-Tree oil!). Pour the mixture in the moulds and refrigerate it. Pop it out and VOILA your very own bath melt is ready. (Caution: Coconut oil can make your bath tub slippery, so be careful!)
DIY perfume
Mix 25 drops of essential oil (Sweet orange or mandarin oil) and ¼ cup of vodka. Higher the content of alcohol the better it is. Keep it in a glass bottle for 2-3 weeks and your perfume is ready.
Moisturizer
Almond, Coconut and Jojoba Oil are perfect for giving healthy face massage every day for ultimate skin radiance. You can make your very own moisturizer at home by mixing coconut oil, lavender oil and tea tree oil. (Tip: Whip this mixture to make it smooth and creamy)
Highlighter
To give yourself youthful dewy look, dab a small amount of coconut oil on the high points of your face and you will glow like a disco ball.
Treat blemish and acne
Neem Oil and Tea Tree oil are champions when it comes to treat acne spots and blemish. Mix few drops of both the oils and apply it directly on the spot. Neem oil is anti-bacterial and works best to clear that tiny pimple on your face and tea tree oil makes sure that it keeps a check on your oily skin.
WELLNESS
Relaxation
Not just topical application, go for some aromatic experience as well. Oil diffuser can help you get the maximum benefits of the essential oils as well. Diffuse dome lavender oil to reduce stress, wild orange to improve mood, frankincense for stress buster or the combination of any of your favorite oils. Add 5 drops of peppermint oil and 5 drops of wild orange to revive positive energy around you.
Body Massage
Mix a couple of your favorite essential oil (Lavender or orange oil) with a carrier oil (Coconut or Almond oil) and get a soothing massage to relax your senses. (Ummm…I am tempted to go right now and get a massage.)
Energy boost
Instead of injecting caffeine in your body to get some energy boost, try to diffuse 3 drops of lemon and 3 drops of peppermint. Peppermint, lemon, wild orange and frankincense are the oils to refresh your senses and uplift aroma.
Reduce congestion
I still remember my mum used to dab few drops of Eucalyptus oil on a handkerchief to decongest my soul. Eucalyptus oil is the known ancient remedy for cold and congestion. So next time when a monster called COLD makes you miserable inhale this magic potion and get rid of it.
Bug Repellent
To keep bugs and mosquitoes at bay try this natural, homemade bug repellant instead of using chemicals. Rub some lavender oil, peppermint or clove oil to repel insects. You can also make your very own bug repellant spray – Mix 5 drops of lemon oil, 10 drops of eucalyptus oil and 20 drops of citronella oil in 2 cups of water. Shhuuu…bug don’t spoil my vacation.
CAUTION
Do the patch test when applying essential oils on the skin.
Essential oils are highly concentrated and should only be used once it is mixed with carrier oil.

What it is about being a mom and a sleep deprived mammal? I thought about it several times after my baby was born. Unlike any other job, motherhood doesn’t come with any vocational training course. We learn and unlearn several times, still we don’t get the recipe to become a perfect mother. I may regret lack of sleep and exhausting days but I treasure the affection I get from my two-year-old girl. No, this post is not about motherhood. Lack of sleep presented not a beautiful gift, “DARK CIRCLES”. I refused to live with dark circles so I invested in a good concealer and an under eye cream. I am going to talk about a product that helped me look better and less sleep deprived, zombie. I have been using CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES RICH for past three months and I can see slight improvement in my dark circles.
“No one can lie, no one can hide anything, when he looks directly into someone’s eyes”- Paulo Coelho
5 REASONS TO TRUST CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES RICH
About CLINIQUE?
Clinique is the first dermatologist tested cosmetic brand. It was launched in 1968 after an article in US Vogue discussed whether great skin can be achieved through a proper skin care regime. Estee Lauder’s daughter-in-law is one of the three people who conceptualised and developed a brand that bought “dermatological” thinking to cosmetics. And yes, it is a brand of Estee Lauder Companies.
What it is?
CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES RICH claims that it diminishes the LOOK of circles, shadows, puff. Intensely moisturizes. It is allergy tested, 100% fragrance free and Ophthalmologist tested.
How does it feel?
The peach coloured cream is fragrance free and has a thick texture. Small amount of cream gives extra moisture boost to the skin which means that a small bottle lasts for long (wink*)
What I liked?
Love, love, love this product. To be very honest, I never expected a cream to reduce or vanish dark circles as this would have been a miracle. I expected it to just make it LOOK a little better and, boy, it delivered the promise. I have been using this product for last three months and I can see my dark circles getting lighter. I am not kidding but this cream has worked for my eyes. It hydrates my thirsty eyes and gives it a moisture boost that brightens the under eye skin. Hey, it isn’t greasy as well. It definitely strengthen the delicate skin around the eye and it is also a good base for concealer.
What I disliked?
I am not impressed with the packaging of this product. I think this product requires a pump bottle packaging so that you don’t have to insert your finger in the jar. I find this product to be expensive but considering the fact that small jar lasts longer, I am in my happy zone.
Overall, I will give CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES RICH rating of 4/5. It is an excellent product to rejuvenate and moisturise thin skin under the eye. Even though it cannot completely vanish dark eye circles,it will definitely improve fine lines and the appearance of dark circles. In my case it has worked like a miracle, however, I would not recommend this product if you want to completely erase dark circles.
My final thought about this product:
“No man is rich enough to buy back his past”- Oscar Wilde
Have you tried CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES RICH? What are your views of the product? What is your favorite eye cream?
Last week, when we went out for grocery shopping at the mall, I sneaked into Sephora for a quick update on the lip color I was tempted to buy. My husband, like most of the men, frowned and gave me only 10 mins to inquire. Imagine going on a pilgrimage and you get only 10mins inside the sacred place. Nevertheless, I took only 10mins and I was disappointed to know that lip color was still “Out of stock”.
“Are you crazy?”,he shouted at me. ” I am not accepting any challenge.” I knew this will be his reaction after I spelled out the rules of the challenge. Honestly, I gave this challenge after I read an article on Allure.com and wanted to see his shopping talent. I also wanted him to witness how difficult it is to select beauty products in just 10mins.
CHALLENGE: Shop at Sephora without any help.
RULES OF THIS CHALLENGE:
a) He is not allowed to take any help from any sales person.
b) He has only 15mins to shop at Sephora.
c) He is not allowed to buy men grooming products and perfumes.
d) He has to buy at least 5 products.
It is not that he has never shopped at Sephora alone. But every gift he bought from Sephora was selected by sales lady. I am not complaining though. Clearly, he wasn’t interested in the challenge but the reward to complete the challenge made the difference.
REWARD: I will quit Nutella for 3 months with immediate effect.
When he entered Sephora, he was really confused with the layout of the store. Crowded with brands, products, sales people and customers. It was a busy day. It took him few seconds to deduce that he has limited time and he has to pick up 5 products for me. In a perfect world, it’s the easiest challenge to win. But, since, I am married to a banker who takes every task seriously, this challenge turned out to be a surprise.
He came out of the stores with a smile after 15 mins with a Sephora bag.MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
I asked him why did he buy so many face masks and only one lip color. His answer was the perfect thing I got along with some super hero face masks.
“There is no need to mask your skin imperfections with the layer of products. You have got beautiful skin and I thought it would be better that you treat yourself with great face masks.” He finally told me that it is difficult to shop within 15 minutes in Sephora and next time I can take my own time.
Here are 7 products he bought for me:
1- Glam Glow Youthmud ( hydrating treatment)
2-Glam Glow Super Mud clearing treatment
3- Glam Glow Powermud Dual cleanse treatment
4- Oleva + Oxygen Activating Renewal Black Mask
5- Kat Von D Duo Lip Vixen
6- Sephora Face Mask pearl
7- Sephora Rose Lip mask
And I quit Nutella for 3 months and turn on my healthy eating habits.
