Hey My Loves! This Monday, we celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary, and I still cannot believe how fast time has flown by. Seven years of marriage — with all its beautiful chaos, love, laughter, and growth — and I would not trade a single moment of it.
Last night, Mohit and I reminisced by looking through photos and sharing a cheesecake (because nothing says “I love you” quite like cheesecake, am I right?). Flipping through those photos, I was struck by how much we have changed and how much we have stayed the same. The love has only deepened, the partnership has only strengthened, and the cheesecake has only gotten better.
Our Anniversary Dinner at Amal, The Armani Hotel
We celebrated our special day at Amal, The Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa — and if you have never been, I cannot recommend it enough. The ambiance is intimate and elegant, the food is exquisite, and there is something undeniably magical about dining in the tallest building in the world with the love of your life.
Amal serves contemporary Indian cuisine with a fine-dining twist, and every dish was a work of art. From the presentation to the flavors, it was the perfect setting for a romantic anniversary evening. If you are in Dubai and looking for a memorable dining experience, Amal should be on your list.
The Anniversary Look: Going Full Glam
As much as I enjoy wearing no makeup — nude lipstick with no foundation, contour and highlight — I love my glam avatar too. You got it, right! An anniversary dinner at the Armani Hotel calls for a full glam look, and I was not about to hold back.
I picked up a dress from Mango (yeah, another black dress — you can never have too many!) and wore my favorite Steve Madden sparkling shoes. But the one product that truly made this look complete is the Morphe Brushes 35F palette. It has the most beautiful metallic colors that look absolutely stunning, especially for evening events. The shimmers catch the light in the most gorgeous way.

7 Things I Have Learned in 7 Years of Marriage
Since this was our seventh anniversary, I thought it would be fitting to share seven lessons that marriage has taught me:
1. Communication is everything. It is not just about talking — it is about listening, understanding, and sometimes sitting in comfortable silence together. The best conversations Mohit and I have are often the unplanned ones over morning chai.
2. Keep dating each other. Marriage is not the finish line of romance; it is the starting point. Dress up for each other, plan surprises, and never stop making an effort to show your partner they are special.
3. Laughter is the best medicine. There will be tough days, disagreements, and moments when life feels overwhelming. But if you can still laugh together at the end of the day, you are doing something right.
4. Give each other space. Being married does not mean you have to do everything together. Having your own hobbies, friendships, and alone time actually strengthens your bond. Independence within partnership is healthy.
5. It is okay to disagree. You will not see eye to eye on everything, and that is perfectly fine. What matters is how you handle disagreements — with respect, patience, and a willingness to find middle ground.
6. Celebrate the small moments. Anniversaries and birthdays are wonderful, but the real magic is in the small everyday moments — cooking dinner together, a spontaneous hug, or a random “I’m proud of you” text during the work day.
7. Choose each other every single day. Marriage is a daily choice. Some days it is easy, and some days it takes effort. But choosing your partner, again and again, is what makes a marriage truly last.

Here is to Many More
“One advantage of marriage is that, when you fall out of love with him or he falls out of love with you, it keeps you together until you fall back in love again.” — Judith Viorst
I love this quote because it captures the reality of marriage so honestly. Love is not a constant state of butterflies and fireworks. It ebbs and flows, and the commitment to stay is what makes it beautiful.
Happy Anniversary, Mohit! Thank you for seven incredible years of love, growth, and cheesecake. Here is to seventy more.
Let me know if you like my 7th Anniversary look! And if you are celebrating your own anniversary soon, I would love to hear your plans in the comments.
See you later!
xoxo
