Do you feel that you are always running out of time? Do you struggle to stay organized?
Then this is for you – Learn ways to stay organized.
It is such a bright and sunny morning. I feel like just grabbing a cup of tea and soaking in the beauty of nature.
Oh no! My kitchen is messy, my bedroom is messy, my laundry basket is overflowing, and look at those toys it’s all over the place.
Wait, I have to do everything before Mireya wakes up. And Tea? Just forget it.
Make meals, attend to my girl, clean house, do the dishes…and Tea? Just forget it.
Chances are I will become insane. I am not a goddess with many hands and manage everything in the world with a smile. The only way to stay sane and healthy is to get organized as soon as possible. No matter what role you play set an organized foundation to get a stress-free life. It is not only for supermoms but also for super-dads.
There are 10 ways to stay organized every single day:
1- UTILIZE A LIST NOTEBOOK- TO-DO LIST
WRITE DOWN ON A PIECE of paper and not on any application on your phone. This is a very important trick as when we write anything on paper we remember it. I use my “THE CRAZYLIST CHECKLIST” every morning to plan in advance so that I don’t miss out on things that are important.
2- MENU PLAN
This is the most important thing in the world; if this is sorted you are sorted. Make a menu plan for a week. This will help you to arrange every ingredient in advance and you just have to use your culinary skills to cook the food. IT’S A LIFE SAVER!
3- DO THE DISHES BEFORE BED
I try to do this every night. There are days when I feel lazy or too tired to do the dishes before bed and trust me, the next day is a living hell as my work multiplies a trillion times. So instead of being tortured even when I am tired I try to do at least half of my dishes.
4- LAY OUT YOUR CLOTHES FOR THE NEXT DAY
To enjoy a bright sunny morning it’s important to just lay out your clothes in advance. This will iron out the stress that starts to build up when you are running out of time and your favorite shirt is not ironed. Looking good and fresh in the morning makes the whole day refreshing.
5- MORNING AND EVENING ROUTINE
Apart from enjoying a hot cup of tea, I also enjoy a skincare routine in the morning. After shower I make a list of things that need to be done and then I start my day with my little girl. Organizing my evening is a very crucial thing; I try to do everything that makes my next day a peaceful one. Make a routine that makes you happy and relaxed. I try to collect all the scattered toys and put clothes in their place before I wind up and say GOODNIGHT to my family.
6- SHOPPING LIST
Refer to the Meal plan and make a list of things that are required. I make a shopping list every week which includes everything that is required in a week. This saves time in rushing to stores every day to get fresh produce or bakery. Also include things that are about to exhaust and you have to replenish. I have THE CRAZYLIST CHECKLIST- SHOPPING LIST that I use every FRIDAY to get all the essential items.
7- DECLUTTER REGULARLY- RECYCLE OR DONATE
This is something I have started doing recently. It is more of a psychological healing than an organizational rule. A CLUTTERED MIND IS A RESULT OF CLUTTERED HOME. So just become ruthless and have three bags for recycling, donating, or garbage. Do this every 3 months and you will find yourself in a happy place.
It’s worth looking into storage Tacoma for when you’re not ready to get rid of the stuff that’s taking up your home. Storage units can be a great way to keep hold of those useful belongings without cluttering up the space in your home.
8- MAKE BACKUPS FOR EVERYTHING- ID PASSPORTS
Everyone should have a backup plan for their life and their important files. Scan and keep all your important documents in your INBOX. This surely doesn’t require any explanation JUST DO IT right now…
9- CREATE A LIST OF PASSWORDS
Ah! Now this is my favorite part of organizing my life. I am sure you don’t like to change your password when out of the blue your email asks for it and you don’t remember it. I detest hitting these two words “Forget Password”. I use a password-protected secret file to save all the passwords in one place and I keep updating it.
10- START SAYING “NO”
This word has become my best friend. Start saying “NO”, don’t let others burden you with their work. There are two precious things in life your HEALTH and your TIME. No one can take that for granted.
I am sure that there are various other things that can make life a bit easier. Please share your list of things that make life more organized. How do you organize your life?
