Life Update: Relocation to Singapore

“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” – John F. Kennedy. Time for change: Relocation to Singapore

Relocation to Singapore as an expat with a kid!

Hello Lovelies,

I am thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you. After spending more than a decade in the glamorous city of Dubai, I have embarked on a new adventure and moved to the vibrant streets of Singapore. It’s a bittersweet feeling as I bid farewell to the city I called home for 10 years, but I am eagerly looking forward to exploring the rich cultural tapestry, lush landscapes, and dynamic atmosphere that Singapore has to offer.

Moving to a new city is undoubtedly a transformative experience. It was a sudden relocation to a place I never visited even as a tourist. There was a tsunami of emotions that I had to deal with while making this move. From letting go of my favorite piece of furniture to pausing my work for a while, it was extremely overwhelming.

The first month in Singapore was extremely difficult as I had to find accommodation that doesn’t break the bank, enroll my kid in a school so that she doesn’t miss her studies, and get used to public transport. I am planning to write a detailed blog post with a list of things that would help new expats to settle in Singapore.

What to expect in The Crazy List’s new series that aims to guide expats moving to Singapore or to any location?

As I begin this remarkable journey in Singapore, I invite you to join me through the words I share and the experiences I embark upon. From exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods to unraveling its rich history and cultural traditions, I am excited to unravel the endless wonders of this captivating city. I intend to make a comprehensive list that will help new expats in making decisions before the move and what they can expect after the relocation to Singapore.
